Important
information for recruitment agents
Please
take a few minutes to read these notes before getting in
touch. It will save everyone a lot of time.
As an
agent, we expect you to have carried out due diligence
on the candidate before putting them forward for
interview. If the position is an FSA Controlled
Function, you should have asked them to complete a 'fit
and proper' person questionnaire. In respect of
any negative responses you will provide detailed
information to support the candidate's application.
As part of
your interview process you will have carried out a
handwriting check to ensure they write in a legible
fashion with correct grammar and spelling.
You will
have obtained suitable evidence of the candidate's
record of success as described in the candidate's
CV.
Importantly,
you should have reviewed our website to gain a thorough
understanding of our systems and processes and our
approach to market. You will have checked with the
candidate that they are able and willing to operate in a
team environment with suitable qualifications obtained
to date, and in a fee charging environment.
When using
an agent to recruit self-employed advisers, the only
remuneration model we find acceptable is a payment of
agency fees from our share of revenue generated by the
adviser over the first twelve months. This is not
negotiable.
