We
operate very differently to most other IFA firms and prefer to
identify ourselves as a professional financial planning firm.
If you contact us for independent financial advice, this is what you
can expect:
1
- We offer a free initial consultation with no obligation.
Prior to this meeting we ask you to complete some important forms.
This means that we can spend our first meeting together discussing
your objectives and priorities, rather than simply recording factual
information. If you would like to
receive our new client welcome pack do contact
us.
2
- Once we receive these completed forms from you we will arrange a
convenient time to meet.
This first meeting can take place at our offices, your home, place
of work or another venue that is convenient for you. This
first meeting is also a great opportunity for you to ask us lots of
questions about our qualifications, experience and advisory process.
3
- Following this first meeting we will write to you with our
proposal for services.
We call this an engagement letter and it is a very important part of
our advisory process. This letter sets out exactly what we
will do for you and what we will charge for these services.
Remember, at this stage you have not incurred any costs and there is
no obligation to proceed. However, if you are happy with our
proposal (and most clients are!) you simply sign and return a copy
of this engagement letter to instruct us to proceed.
4
- When we receive your signed engagement letter we begin to conduct
research and analysis.
If
you have existing financial policies we will usually write to the
providers to request detailed information. This can sometimes
take time so we will keep you informed of our progress if there are
unexpected delays.
5
- Once we have all of the information we need we will construct our
advisory report.
This
is a comprehensive financial report, either on a focused or holistic
basis. The report is your record of our findings and
recommendations. We post (and email if requested) this report
to you ahead of a second meeting. During this second meeting
we use this report as an agenda. We invite lots of questions
about the contents of the report and our recommendations.
6
- If you agree with our recommendations then we move on to implement
them on your behalf.
We complete your application forms and then manage the process of
altering your existing arrangements or setting up new financial
plans. Any commission generated from the purchase of a
financial product belongs to you as the client. You can choose
whether to use this to reduce product charges or offset against our
fees.
7
- Once the implementation phase is complete we will write to you
again to confirm the actions we have taken on your behalf and set
out our timetable for review.
Our membership and premier clients receive quarterly valuations of
all of their financial policies along with at least annual
face-to-face review meetings (and detailed review reports).

At all
stages within our advisory service we aim to be clear, friendly and
professional. We want to build long term relationships with
our clients where we act as your trusted adviser.
If
you have any questions about our advisory process, please do call us
on 01483 274566 or fill in our new
client enquiry form.
